Skills for the Future – FYA Report

The New Basics, from Foundation for Young Australians analyses big data to show for the first time that the New Work Order is actually already here. The changes predicted for some time are now on our doorstep, affecting employers and job seekers across all industries. The report highlights the growing demand from employers for young workers to have what is called enterprise skills.

These are transferable skills that allow young people to be enterprising so they can navigate complex careers
across a range of industries and professions. This includes problem solving, financial literacy, digital literacy,
teamwork, and communication and are different from technical skills which are specific to a particular task, role
or industry.
