Training & Assessment Qualifications are in Demand

This morning we chatted with Training and Assessment super-star Linda Woodrow. Linda designs and teaches Certificate IV in T&A for people beginning a career in vocational education, and has a huge following in the professional development space with practicing trainers. At ACE we’ve noticed a genuine spike in demand for skilled and qualified trainers in both the private and public sectors. Could this be your calling?

ACE: So Linda, you teach on so many different platforms – what’s your favourite & why?
LW: I like teaching face-to-face classes because it keeps my teaching fresh and responsive. We are bringing more and more training online and I’m passionate about ensuring online quality. I know how important and useful great online training is for rural communities and for busy working people.

There is a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment [Blended Delivery] course starting 20 March.
This nationally recognised qualification will ensure you have the skills and knowledge to prepare, teach and assess accredited courses in your field of expertise. The program comprises 20 weeks of blended delivery which consists of face-to-face workshops and online participation between workshops. It is a best match for everyone with existing vocational experience but no previous training experience (or for those with training experience who prefer some face-to-face contact with the trainer).

An initial workshop is followed by a set of two day workshops throughout the 20 week course.

The course will include content compatible with the newly released TAE40116 enabling easy transition to the new qualification as soon as registered training organisations (RTOs) are approved to offer it.

Career pathways include Enterprise trainer, Enterprise assessor, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) trainer, RTO assessor and Vocational education trainer and assessor in secondary schools (VET) with additional qualifications.

Your investment – 20 weeks [part time], starting 20 March, $1500.
