Glenn Joins the Business Admin Training Team

We are thrilled to introduce and welcome Glenn Hare to the business administration ACE training family. Like all good friends, we thought we’d quiz him to find out what’s in store for students signing up for this qualification.

ACE: Tell us how you got started in your career.
GH: I was updating my own skills to an advanced level in computing and business, along the way I realised I enjoyed the classroom environment and decided to give teaching a go. After completing my courses I quickly found employment as a teacher and really enjoy the challenge.

ACE: So, what does it really take to be successful in business administration?
GH: The role expectation varies a lot and this is one of the great attractions to this career field. There are so many different job categories in business administration, you could be the face of the business and interacting on a daily basis with clients or supporting the backend of the business where you could be dealing with professional correspondence, social media, updating databases and taking phone calls. Roles in business admin are evolving all the time – that’s exciting stuff.

ACE: What would a day in the workplace typically be like?
GH: The business environment can be very busy and this means great organisational skills are good to have and are highly valued. A usual day would see you diving into tasks like:
– phone and email correspondence
– greeting and assisting clients
– quality customer service
– document creation or editing
– office ordering
– filing, emailing, photocopying, faxing
– liaising with colleagues & assisting them as part of a team.

ACE: Well I’m still not sure, I might get bored, can this lead to something else?
GH: Totally. There are many business administration positions in the workforce and this Certificate III qualification definitely can lead to something, this is a true pathway to rewarding careers you might not have even thought about yet. Plus this is nationally recognised training, employers value this standard and it will enhance your resume.

There you have it, sounds like a must have qualification for everyone, no matter your end game.
