ECEC RPL Upgrade

The Early Childhood Education and Care Recognition of Prior Learning (ECEC RPL) Upgrade Initiative has been developed for educators with outdated Certificate III qualifications to achieve the newest qualification that meets the entry requirements for the current Diploma qualification.

The initiative will support existing educators to:

  • Upgrade outdated qualifications
  • Attain the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Meet pre-requisite requirements for the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Let’s get your skills and experience recognised, and fast track your pathway to the new Certificate III qualification and onward into the Diploma. Plus for eligible people in the Northern Rivers this is also fee free!

About RPL

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is a process that assesses your competency—acquired through formal and informal learning—to determine if you meet the requirements for a unit of study.

You can use a variety of documentation to apply for RPL. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • records of completed training
  • assessment items
  • assessment records
  • declarations from your employer, and/or
  • a copy of your student records provided by ASQA.

What is the benefit for you?

RPL recognises the skills and knowledge you’ve acquired throughout your career, giving value to your practical experience. It acknowledges the time and effort you have invested in developing your expertise.

You must be currently working as an early childhood educator.

How will RPL be assessed?

Our qualified and trained RPL assessor.

When is the close off for this opportunity?
We have very limited places on offer, applications will close in December 2023.

What is the cost?
Fee free for eligible people in the Northern Rivers until December 2023.

Contact us to talk on the initiative and your eligibility.
