Take Your Qualifications Anywhere

When Jocelyn began working as assistant in nursing (AIN), she knew completing a Certificate III in Individual Support was the perfect next step to spring her forward in the industry. Choosing ACE as her preferred training organisation, she completed the qualification with flying colours – all while continuing to work full time and experiencing different areas of the job.

She then set her sights to her next challenge – a Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.

“I had a go at the leisure activities side of things and found it to be very interesting with exciting opportunities. I love the care side of the job but I also want to enhance resident wellbeing. I knew from there I just had to continue studying with ACE and get my Certificate IV in Leisure and Health.

Doing the Certificate IV was challenging at the start but my trainer Mel Duck helped a lot, inspiring me despite my struggles and encouraging of my goals. Working while studying was difficult as I did not have much time in between but it was 100% worth it. Doing study online was a little different but still easy, just like in the classroom but more time to catch up after work.”

With credit transfer units applied from the Certificate III in Individual Support, along with her great determination, Jocelyn was able to complete her Certificate IV in Leisure and Health in just 7 months.

“This was a great experience, from the beginning all the friendly and helpful staff. To Mel Duck giving me support. I am moving to Townsville in the next few weeks and great news! I have just received notice that I have got the job I applied for working across both areas of AIN and recreational activities. Mel even gave me a great reference and I think it made a big difference. I have got my dream job and I am so happy to start soon, hopefully when Covid has eased. Thank you all so much!”

Complete our nationally recognised training and take your qualification with you anywhere. Yes, you so can. Congratulations Jocelyn!
