Course
Description
Elevate your skills to create a practical and trendy crochet bag. This workshop has been designed as a next level class, it is a super great match for everyone with basic crochet skills.
Ideally, you will already be comfortable with basic crochet stitches (single, double and half double) as well as understanding how to work ‘in a round’. Learn fun, new techniques for incorporating stitch textures and making handles.
Really make it your own by exploring pattern adjustments for sizing and customisation, and if time permits, learn how to create a crochet motif or flower to embellish your bag and let your personality shine.
This course runs for two sessions, over two consecutive weeks at our Lismore campus.
TRAINER
After the success of our introduction to crochet courses in ACE Lismore, Kate Hogan is here to help students grow their crochet know-how.
Kate Hogan loves to create. Whether it be knitting, crochet, applique, quilting or sewing, she loves the satisfaction of making something beautiful – and even better, gifting it to family and friends.
“I have been doing ‘anything craft’ from a young age, and particularly love crochet for the peace and well being I experience, while making a wonderful article of clothing or item for the home.
I usually have a number of projects on the go at any given time, and the beauty of crochet, is I can take my projects with me wherever I go. I am excited to be teaching this craft to others, and watching the joy they experience when creating their own creative piece of work.”
