Course
Description
Whatever your writing ability or area of interest, this course will enhance your knowledge and development, plus help you connect with other writers, in your pursuit of effective, meaningful writing.
Begin with an overview of correct grammar, and progress through measured and enjoyable writing exercises of appropriately challenging degrees. Examine what makes for quality writing in various forms and genres, then explore techniques for increasing the power of your writing to move the reader.
You will also discover, in detail, a range of methods for gaining a greater connection to the reader and further understand how the world of publishing is structured in both print and online.
Workshopping and critique of your (and others’) work will be a significant part of the course. All students are instructed in how to offer meaningful, generous and considerate feedback for all levels of writing.
This course is suitable for beginners with no previous knowledge or experience but is also suitable for intermediate level writers. This course runs for six sessions, over six consecutive weeks at our Murwillumbah campus.
