This short course is designed for everyone with little or no computing experience but wanting to improve their skills for work or home. You will learn how to operate a Windows computer, navigate the system to access files and programs, use a keyboard and mouse, manage plug-in devices including cameras and memory sticks; and gain an understanding of security and privacy issues.
Plus you will develop skills to create and edit office files (word documents and spreadsheets), know how to search for information on the Web, how to send, receive and manage emails, plus a range of tips to help make your computing easier and more enjoyable.
This unit is assessed against the following unit of competency: FSKDIG01 Use digital technology for basic workplace tasks.
