Certificate III in Individual Support student Adam shares his huge career change journey from hospitality to disability care. His advice: “Take the leap!
I decided to pursue disability support work as a change of career. I’ve been working in hospitality for 16 years and I just thought I needed a change.
Work placement through ACE Colleges has definitely helped me achieve and secure a new job in home caring. I put that on my resume straight away and most companies were very happy to see that on the resume and then they took me from there.
I feel like ACE has been really good, good resources, good staff, lots of helpful students as well. I think just take the leap of faith like I did, and hopefully it all works out.”
