Starting from scratch find out how computers can be of use in your life and enable you to have hours of fun. This popular course is designed for those with no (or almost no) knowledge of computers. You will learn how to turn them on & off, to understand basic jargon and about the features of Windows. You will also learn the basics of Internet use, emailing, sending attachments (pictures) by email and about saving your pictures & documents where you can easily find them again. If you own a notebook, bring it along.

Apple Mac for Beginners

For this course you need to bring your own Mac - whether it be an iMac or a notebook. The course is designed for the Mac beginner with little computer knowledge and for the new Apple Mac user. You will learn how to customise your Mac, create, save, organise & print documents, store addresses, send & receive emails and surf the web. You will be introduced to the OSX operating system, Safari, Mail, iChat, iLife, iWork & iPhoto.

Digital Storytelling

This course is an exciting introduction to Multi Media. Participants will create their own digital stories using narrative, images and computer editing before uploading the stories to the web. Your tutor, Rebecca, has run many digital storytelling workshops around Australia with the young and old. Digital storytelling is an exciting and engaging way to share your stories while simultaneously learning basic computer and media skills.

Photos and the Computer for Beginners

Learn how to transfer your digital photographs from your digital camera to the computer and where to save them for easy location. Learn how to install photo editing software and then use it for basic editing such as cropping out unwanted parts. Learn also how to change your photos to a smaller size suitable for sending through email. This course covers, in simple terms, the basics of managing your photos in your computer. Basic computer & file management skills required.
