Leadership Today
In these times of rapid change, strong, flexible & inspiring leadership has emerged as a key factor for success in business and yet the subject is still widely misunderstood. Leadership is often confused with management, although it is quite different. Leadership is also a quality everyone in an organisation needs to demonstrate - not just the managers. One thing leadership does have in common with management is that it can be learned and, contrary to popular belief, leaders are made not born. This inspiring course makes the skills required to be a successful leader accessible. It offers expert, practical training for anyone aspiring to become a successful, 21st Century-style leader in industry or the community. It promotes the concept that everyone is a leader regardless of his or her role. The key elements include developing leadership style, creating an environment for success & creating a culture for success.
Public Speaking
Being able to find the right words at the right time is very useful, but often not nearly as important as how you say them. This program will help you analyse your fears about public speaking and face up to them. It will equip you with the knowledge & skills you need to become a confident & persuasive public speaker. It will explain how to prepare what you want to say, how to control your nerves, how to read your audience, how to get your message across effectively & how to handle hostile audiences & awkward questions. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the skills in a comfortable, supportive environment. The emphasis will be on work related situations of public speaking.
