Certificate III in Children's Services (CHC30712)

This is the standard national qualification for child care workers and will suit those wishing to work with children or already involved in child care. Successful completion will enable you to seek employment in the childcare industry as a childcare assistant, family day care provider, pre school assistant or nanny. During the course you will be required to attend approx 100 hours of classroom workshops. These workshops are designed to support your independent home study which will occupy approx one day per week. You will also be required to undertake about 100 hours of work experience. You need to commit to approx three days per week total for the duration of the course. Students must submit to a Working with Children check and be able to sign a Prohibited Persons Declaration. Prerequisites are good written and verbal communication skills and being physically able to undertake the job. The course fee includes all workbooks and an Apply First Aid course with Certificate.
