Childrens Services
Qualifications in Children’s Services equips you to successfully undertake a rewarding career in the Children’s Services industry. The range of courses provided by ACE Community Colleges offer graduates the opportunity to gain relevant qualifications for a wide range of positions, from entry level through to directors’ roles.

In addition to self paced study and practical placements, you will learn to provide a safe environment for children whilst fostering their social, physical, cognitive and emotional development.
Certificate III in Children's Services (CHC30712)
This is the standard national qualification for child care workers and will suit those wishing to work with children or already involved in child care. Successful completion will enable you to seek employment in the childcare industry as a childcare assistant, family day care provider, pre school assistant or nanny. During the course you will be required to attend approx 100 hours of classroom workshops. These workshops are designed to support your independent home study which will occupy approx one day per week. You will also be required to undertake about 100 hours of work experience. You need to commit to approx three days per week total for the duration of the course. Students must submit to a Working with Children check and be able to sign a Prohibited Persons Declaration. Prerequisites are good written and verbal communication skills and being physically able to undertake the job. The course fee includes all workbooks and an Apply First Aid course with Certificate.
Certificate III in Education Support (CHC30808)
This qualification covers workers in a range of education settings including public and independent schools and community education settings that provide assistance and support to teachers and students under broad based supervision. The course fee includes an Apply First Aid course and extensive course workbooks & notes.
Diploma of Children's Services (CHC50908)
This qualification covers workers in children's services who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements. At this level, workers have responsibility for supervision of other staff and volunteers and, in most states, it is the highest qualification required at director or service manager level for children's service centre-based care.
